An exploration of a certain sort of landscape art from the quiet, empty world of Paul Nash in the 1930s to the recent work of Thomas Joshua Cooper and Richard Long. For all of the distance of time and place between these artists they have a shared quality of mood and a kinship in their way of looking at and thinking about the world in which we live.
