Peter Liversidge - Sign Paintings for the NHS

from 10 April (ongoing)
Grove Road and Roman Road intersection
London

Since 10 April Peter Liversidge has been installing signs thanking NHS staff and other front-line workers at a corner of Mile End park in London. With the help of his youngest son, Peter has added to the group every night after dark. There are over now over 300 individual signs

Peter says ' It felt important to thank those who are caring for others, I was not thinking at the beginning that this was an 'artwork'. It was more along the lines of an open letter to the NHS, care providers, bin men, post office workers, bus drivers and many others to say thank you for doing what they do, which  before lockdown was often overlooked or taken for granted.’'
