Garry Fabian Miller is exhibiting work alongside Megan Ringrose, Nettie Edwards, Karel Doing, and Andrés Pardo in a display entitled Natural Magic: Experiments in Photography.
Investigation into the photosensitive properties of precious metals on chemical emulsions of silver nitrate, iron, gold, or ground up vegetables by a network of curious minds led to the invention of photography in the nineteenth century. Now, in an age of digital photography, artists explore these early processes, both reviving methods from the past and inventing new approaches to traditional darkroom photography.
