Past and present come into conversation in this exhibition of Tomlin's new sculptures and Morris Graves' paintings from the 1940s. Tomlin, a Sheffield born artist living and working in London, and Graves, a Modernist artist from the Pacific Northwest (1910-2001), both seem to allude to Arcadian worlds and inner visions in their work. A sense of transfiguration is imbued throughout these works as the familiar is rendered with new intensity and originality, their respective interpretations of the world - both human and man-made - communicated through the forms of painting and sculpture.
