SUNLIGHT , the first major survey of the work of Roger Ackling, will be on show at The Henry Moore Institute this spring. The exhibition will include some of Ackling's earliest experiments with a lens, to his final works made in the last months of his life.
Alongside works on found driftwood, for which Ackling has become well known, the show will present lesser-known pieces incorporating domestic wooden objects and tools. Photographs, sketches, notes and even the bag he took out with him when making work will be on display, providing a full picture of the artist and his work.
